How to Promote your Blog with TwitThis and Twitter

TwitThis is a free utility for blog and web site promotion. TwitThis makes it easy for readers to share your blog post or article with their friends through Twitter, a social networking site. I find this tool very useful for anyone looking to take advantage of social media and word of mouth for the web. Enjoy!

How to Market RSS on Your Web Site

I thought I would put together a list of helpful links in marketing your site using RSS feeds. These tools make it easy for people to add your site / blog to social book marking sites and feed readers.

  • Add This! - Social bookmarks, stats, RSS tools and more.
  • FeedBurner - Blog, podcast, RSS stats, advertising and publishing tools.
  • Feedforall - Social bookmarking chicklet creator.
  • TopRankBlog - RSS button link creator.
There are a few more out there, but this should be more than enough to help you get started. Start adding some buttons to your site and see what happens. Check the number of returning visitors in Google Analytics right after a blog post or major web site update. Use FeedBurner to track your feed statistics. The possibilities are endless!
